2014: Jenex Builders Inc - Business of the YearMagrath and District Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year 2014 - Wayne Harris Family / Jenex Builders Inc
Wayne has donated countless hours of his own time during the renovation of the Magrath Museum building. He also donated the use of equipment and materials and went over and above what a usual contractor would do. He is very dedicated to this community. His company has been responsible across Southern Alberta for many successful projects over the years, including most recently the addition on the Town Fire Hall. “Wayne Harris and Jenex have done a wonderful job and he has been very diligent in getting it done and getting it [the Firehall] done in time ..” and “[Thanks to ..] Wayne Harris of Jenex Construction for their fantastic work resulting in the [WCC] Project coming in on time, on budget, and well beyond expectations.” He has also provided much needed free heat for our annual Chamber Tradeshow at the ice arena for the past 2 years. Many thanks for all you do! |
2013: Magrath Museum Board - Business/Organization of the YearMagrath Museum Board (2013: Alan Dudley, Wendy Coleman, Nikki Wright, Kristine Alston, Cynthia Harris, Donna Lybbert, Bill Alston, and Wes Balderson)
The dedicated Museum Board has recently completed an extensive renovation with new signature tower entry and has had the Cenotaph relocated to their property. The Museum has been made into an exciting community asset. Among the many hard working volunteers [too many to list completely] are Alan Dudley, Wendy Coleman, and Wayne & Cynthia Harris; who have donated countless hours of their own time during the renovation of the museum. Wayne/Jenex also donated the use of equipment and materials and went over and above what a usual contractor would do. He is very dedicated to this community. Cynthia has also worked very hard in getting the renovation done and ready for the grand opening and worked tirelessly to see that the Magrath Museum renovations were done by the deadline and on target. A large portion of their labour was donated as well as all of the drywall in the existing doctor's office, plus much, much more. Wayne and Cynthia truly gave of themselves to see this beautiful museum done and could be found working at any hour of the day. The museum will now stand as a beacon in our community for many years to come. |
